Registered Massage Therapy
Hands-On Pain Relief and Recovery from Our Registered Massage Therapy Team
Herbs Meta's Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) provide Registered Massage Therapy at 55 West Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill, serving Markham and the wider York Region. Sessions are available in 30 or 60 minute appointments, on their own or alongside acupuncture as part of a broader care plan.
Registered Massage Therapy is a regulated form of manual therapy. In Ontario, RMTs complete accredited training and are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) before they can practise.
Session Options
- First Visit – Registered Massage Therapy, 60 min, $100
- Registered Massage Therapy, 60 min, $125
- Registered Massage Therapy, 30 min, $75
Every first visit includes time for your Registered Massage Therapist to review your health history, discuss your treatment goals, and confirm a plan with you before hands-on work begins. That intake time is part of the 60 minute first-visit session, not added on top of it.
What Registered Massage Therapy Treats
RMT treatment addresses muscle and soft tissue concerns through techniques such as kneading, stretching, joint mobilization, and targeted or deep tissue pressure. It is commonly used for:
- Neck, shoulder, and upper back tightness
- Low back tension, including tension associated with sciatica
- Tension headaches and stress-related muscle guarding
- General stiffness from long hours at a desk
- Recovery support after activity or overuse
Massage therapy can be booked on its own or combined with acupuncture for patients managing ongoing pain or stress.
What Happens During a Session
- Your Registered Massage Therapist reviews your health history and discusses your treatment goals and any areas of concern.
- Together you confirm a treatment plan, and you are positioned comfortably for treatment.
- Techniques are applied to the target areas, with pressure adjusted throughout based on your feedback.
- Time is included at the end of the session to reassess and discuss next steps if needed.
Is Registered Massage Therapy Right for You?
Massage therapy may be a good option if you:
- Experience recurring muscle tightness or soreness
- Want a hands-on approach to pain relief
- Are looking to support recovery alongside other care
- Prefer to start with a single session before committing to a plan
